After slacking for a bit and playing with the cats outside, I decided to sketch this sculpture outside the entrance to the Andrew Freedman Home, Bronx, NYC
First outing with NYC Urban Sketchers, I had about 10 minutes before this excellent band was scheduled to finish, the atmosphere was electric with Mr. Drum(center) leading the drum circle ensemble and a group of dancers in rhythmic motion facing them. I managed to sketch everyone before they wrapped up, Sketched with noodlers’ sequoia green ink(water soluble) and then used a water brush to create the washes. I added black lines post the original drawing to bring some crispness back to the drawing.
